ZABDIEL DE JESUS
Zabdiel De Jesús is a 21-year-old Puerto Rican, who knew he wanted to be a singer since he was 12. During his teenage years, he was part of a hip-hop and salsa group at his church. He is a multitalented artist, he is a musician, singer, and ballet dancer. His passion for music was clearly visible; every single night when he performed at La Banda he left his soul on stage, winning over the audience that made him a member of CNCO.
“I thank La Banda because it was a great opportunity to present myself to thousands of people, and this helped me take care of my family. I am blessed to be part of CNCO. I also thank my fans, who keep me motivated doing music, which is what I love the most.”
RICHARD CAMACHO
Richard Camacho grew up in the entertainment world with a musician and cameraman as a father and a dancer for a mother. Since he was 3-years-old, Richard knew that music ran through his veins; this 21-year-old Dominican also shares his love of music with his little brother, who also is a singer. His passion for the performing arts was evident to the voters, as well as the judges, who supported him in making his dream come true by becoming a member of CNCO.
“After joining CNCO, my life has completely changed in a very crazy but positive way. Now I am living my dream and that of my family.”
CHRISTOPHER BRYANT VELEZ MUÑOZ
Christopher Velez is 23-years-old and was born in Ecuador. At the age of 18 he moved to New Jersey in search of a better life for him and his family. He was working hard to help out his household, until he decided to follow his dreams and audition for La Banda. Being far away from his family got him motivated to stand out week after week as one of the show favorites. He eventually was chosen to become a member of CNCO.
“I want to be able to help my family and provide them with everything they need, but most importantly, I want to be able to do what I love the most, music. CNCO has helped me evolve as a human being and as an artist and developed my skills as a songwriter. I am thankful for this opportunity!”
JOEL PIMENTEL DE LEON
The biggest inspiration for this 20-year-old Californian of Mexican ancestry has been his late grandfather, who gave him the strength to continue singing and to study theater. In his free time he likes to play soccer, write songs and he also enjoys acting. Even though at one point he thought he was going home during the contest, his tenacity, hard work, and talent ultimately made him one of the members of CNCO.
“Being part of CNCO, has helped me grow, not only as an artist, but also as a human being. Now I am able to help out my family, which is my biggest motivation. My grandfather, was who inspired me to become a musician; he showed me the love for music. My band mates and I are working hard to make CNCO a worldwide phenomenon.”
ERICK BRIAN COLON
Erick Brian Colón moved from Cuba to the U.S. with his mother and sister in 2012. The 18 year-old, enjoys playing soccer and his favorite team is Real Madrid. Erick stole the hearts of the voters and the judges in La Banda, who saw in him a very unique talent. His main motivation has always been his family, many of whom still live in Cuba.
“I never imagined that this would be my life, CNCO has taught me that dreams can come true. My family keeps me motivated to work hard, I want to make them proud. I aim for my music to be listened all over the world.”
